This wiki documents the neuropythy library. Neuropythy is a Python library designed to enable abstract analysis of the cortical surface. It complements the existing nibabel library, used for import and export of neuro-imaging data, by providing an elegant and organized set of data-structures representing FreeSurfer subjects and subjects from the Human Connectome Project. Neuropythy includes many flexible utilities including routines for plotting data in 3D and 2D on the cortical surface, interpolation routines, and a variety of visual-cortex and vision-science related analyses. It also comes with a large amount of public data, including most of the structural data available from the Human Connectome Project; these datasets are automatically downloaded behind the scenes by neuropythy when requested.
