I want to use this on another model. Only change is making deserialize and serialize pub instead of pub(super).

Update: I don't actually want it on a model, I want it on a view, which means it needs to be extracted all the way to omicron-common.

Yup, this looks good to me! I have a nearly-identical commit in my in-progress webhook branch, so you're enot the only person who wanted it!

After chatting, I don't think I actually I need this, so I'm going to close it and let you handle it in your PR. If that changes, I can always reoopen.
