If your site is currently running on PHP 5.3, and if it will not run on PHP 5.5, then you will need to add a pantheon.yml file and manually set the PHP version to 5.3 there. on PHP 5.6: https://www.mediacurrent.com/blog/getting-your-drupal-6-site-ready-run-php-56/
Note that both PHP 5.3 and PHP 5.5 have reached end-of-life; you are strongly recommended to select a supported version of PHP in your pantheon.yml file. See the blog by Michele Cox, Getting Your Drupal 6 site ready to run on PHP 5.6: https://www.mediacurrent.com/blog/getting-your-drupal-6-site-ready-run-php-56/
This is an improved version of #21: we'd rather force some users to advance to a higher version of PHP (or take action to not do that) than to inadvertently downgrade other users to a lower version of PHP (unless they took action to prevent that).
