Version 2.6.3 Release

This version fixes the Pokemon Cries/Battle Music crashes, so they should work now. Furthermore, you can now also turn on/off Pokemon Cries during a battle and some server side bugs were fixed as well.

The Damage Calculator got a few optimizations, so it now calculates the BP for moves with varying power (like Gyro Ball, etc.) automatically and other minor changes.

The "Send"-button in the channel window got replaced by an "Open Teambuilder"-button (and switched position with the "Exit"-button) and an option to disable the announcement banner has been added as well.

Some Pokemon also got some new moves from events.

UPDATE (27.03.2016): I've updated the release again, because some people had problems with the old client. Flashes aren't working anymore (sorry for this), but the crashes are all fixed for now.

A new year, a new update.

Ok so fine, its still the same year as the last update was released in, but it feels like the last update was a year ago.

Long story short, this release fixes a few bugs that caused crashes and/or incorrect images to display. It also updated some translations to make the program more accessible for people who don't natively speak English. Some pokemon also got new moves from various events or mistakes.

Finally, we now have an in-house damage calculator in the teambuilder and battle window! It is still in development, so please report any functionality issues you can find in it.

Numerous server side bugs were fixed as well if you are one of the people that uses the pre-packed server.

If you have downloaded the client before the 28th December, redownload it to have working flashes. :)

Version 2.6.1 Release

This version has a bunch of small fixes and features added that have been reported/suggested on the forums.

New battle backgrounds have been added for the old battle window, alongside tooltip fixes and other helpful additions to the old battle window. Another addition to the battle window is a warning when you click the X before actually closing (Make sure Show Exit Warning is turned on first though), plus the ability to set your battle window to always be the top window.

The exit warning has also been added to the main client itself, clicking the X, pressing Alt+F4, or Ctrl+W on the last tab, now brings up a warning asking if you're sure you want to exit (Again Show Exit Warning needs to be on, it is by default, but check anyway).

When registering, you now have a password confirmation, to make sure you type it correctly, instead of having to get it reset if you type it incorrectly.

The trainer info limit has been (somewhat) increased. The old limit of 300 is still there for plain text, but html tags don't count towards this limit, and instead count towards a HTML+Text limit of 500. The teambuilder now shows you how much you're using, although doesn't differentiate between plain text or html.

Some of you may know that if you press TAB in the chat window, it cycles through the names of online players, now if you press CTRL+TAB it cycles backwards. A small addition, but a helpful one at least.

For server owners, there is now a new setting called "Minimum Auth for HTML", what this allows you to do, is set an auth level that can use HTML freely in their messages. Although players need to be on an updated client to see it (and if they use client scripts, have scripts to accommodate this, my own scripts don't). There's a new client script function called client.getAuthHtml() which returns the current auth level allowed to use HTML on the current server (-1 is disabled)

There's now also the frequently requested Hackmons Challenge Cup added. To play you need to be in a tier that supports hackmons (Hackmons, Balanced Hackmons, or the newly created Hackmons Challenge Cup tier). For server owners, just create a CC tier with the parameter "allowIllegal=true".

This version should also have Hackmons Team not loading right fixed. I hope.

Version 2.6.0 Release (Hackmons!)

2.6.0 brings a big addition to PO in the form of Hackmons. Hackmons is a tier created by (I think) Smogon, which allows a Pokémon to use any move, any ability, and more than 510 total EVs (e.g. 252 in every stat). They'll be a thread that explains Hackmons properly soon. Obviously it's going to a play a lot differently to standard tiers, so it'll be interesting to see how it ends up.

In other things, Alice/Cirno has added all the trainer sprites from Gen 1-3, giving a total of 719 trainer sprites from all generations. Also the ability to add any number of battle_fields to a theme has been added. Simply drop the files you want to use in the battle_fields folder and as long as they're in PNG format, the battle window will pick them up. When you select a Mega Evolution in the Teambuilder, it now automatically gives you the Megastone needed (unless you're playing hackmons).

Fixes in terms of the client have been the annoying bug with advanced search I know a fair few people had, fixes to the tooltip in the battle window, and fixes to the way colour selection works.
There's probably things I've forgotten, so check here: http://pokemon-online.eu/forums/solved-bugs.33/ Everything here should be fixed this release.

Version 2.5.2 Release!

This release brings more changes to the client compared to the previous release.

First up is the backporting of the PP count and Stat Estimates from the New Battle Window to the Old Battle Window, so now when you hover over a pokemon, you get more details from the tooltip.
New Trainer Sprites (Well icons) have been added. Images of the trainers from XY and ORAS have been added for users to use in their trainer profiles.
The ability to export/import to/from android has been added to the teambuilder.
And a bunch of other things too

Anything that is listed as "Fixed" or "Next Update" here is included in this update http://pokemon-online.eu/forums/solved-bugs.33/

Server still needs updating for some small things, that should happen soon.

Version 2.5.1 Release!

Most of the changes in this version have been server side fixes, so not a lot of changes client side.
Though missing moves have been added and so has Mega Rayquaza! To use Mega Rayquaza, it needs to have the move Dragon Ascent. There is no megastone for it. You won't be able to use it instantly on the server, but hopefully it should be up by tomorrow at the latest.
Back sprites for the new megas/primals have been added too alongside icons for them and items.
