For the download links, should we also put the DivestOS repo? As you will get faster updates with it, for example. |

@rollsicecream have a citation for that claim? I don't see any recommendations to do that in any official documentation. |
I don't have a direct citation, but in general updates from apps in the F-Droid official repo fall behind most of the time, NewPipe, for example, does have their own repo where they explicitly state that :
Also, for a more IRL example, the Mullvad VPN app on F-Droid had fallen behind updates (between 2023.9 and 2023.10) for 2 weeks or so, I even had to make an issue for that. |
Yes, updates on divestos.org are same day, updates on F-Droid.org can take 1-3 days to merge, and another 2-5 to even compile/ship. https://divestos.org/pages/our_apps
I maintain both Mull and Fennec F-Droid in fdroiddata to be clear, so I send the MR immediately after release. edit 1:
there are zero proprietary blobs in Mull & Fennec F-Droid. edit 2: |

**Mull** is a privacy oriented and deblobbed Android browser based on Firefox. Compared to Firefox, it offers much greater fingerprinting protection out of the box, and disables JavaScript Just-in-Time (JIT) compilation for enhanced security. It also removes all proprietary elements from Firefox, such as replacing Google Play Services references. |

Would it be worth explaining the term deblobbed to users who might not know what it means?

I think we'll hold off for now, and it will be a good candidate for the upcoming glossary (#2451 (comment))

LGTM unless we want to clarfiy what 'deblobbed' means as it might not be a term all readers are familiar with
