git init -- Initialized empty Git repo

git config --global user.email "[email protected]" -- setup

git config --global user.name "Your Name" -- setup

git add README.md -- add README.md file

After modification, git add README.md -- add updated version of the file

git reset README.md -- remove the file

git commit -m "This is my first commit of this repo" -- commit into github

git branch - show the branch in github

git branch -M main -- change the branch into main

git remote add origin https://github.com/sambath-kumar/githubpractice2.git

git push origin main -- push it into github main

git diff -- show the difference (press q for exit)

git branch new_branch -- create new branch

git branch -- list all branches

git checkout branch_name -- switch into new branch

create necessary files or changes to work on (in the new branch)

git checkout main -- switch into main branch

git merge new_branch -- merge new_branch into main_branch or vice-versa

git branch -d new_branch -- delete new_branch

git branch -- check list of branches

git clone source_github -- clone github repository to the destination

(before that, change current directory in the cmd using cd clone_folder)

git pull -- pulled from remote to current branch
