As you might have noticed there are two SMB related submenus in the live section. The reason behind is, smbapi is responsible for SMB operations using the Windows API and smb is for SMB operations using a custom SMB library which is independent from Windows. The custom library gives a lot of cool customization options which would not be possible using WinAPI.
