I'm Carl. You might know me because of my more handsome CardBoard double. I've been doing open source work for the WordPress and PHP community for close to a decade. I'm especially passionate about software design and server administration.

I'm mainly known for all the articles I've written on object-oriented programming on my personal site. I have a small security plugin that I maintain to showcase a lot of what I teach. It's also pretty useful 😉

Until recently, I maintained debops-wordpress. It's an Ansible project to give anyone in the WordPress community access to a fast and secure WordPress server. It was a catalyst for some current WordPress server management products. 🚀

Since 2019, I've been working on making WordPress work on AWS Lambda as a serverless application. The two core components are open source. They are the:

• PHP Runtime
• WordPress plugin

I've tried to support my open source work sustainably through my company Ymir. That said, it's not able to support me yet. (You can see where I'm at on my public dashboard.) I don't want to take any sort of funding as these two projects would have to become closed source since they're Ymir's most important intellectual property and I want to keep them open source.
