- Make sure you have Java 8 installed (Java 9 or newer won't work with Rift)

Option 1 - Use the MultiMC launcher:

  1. Get MultiMC from https://multimc.org
  2. Download this zip: https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/453662800460644354/583233078541942785/mmc_rift_1.13.2_jitpack_aeee80c1fb-1.zip
  3. In MultiMC, click Add Instance from the top
  4. Select Import from zip on the left, and select that zip file you downloaded from above. Give the instance a name on the top, and click OK to finish and Rift will get installed to that instance.
  5. If you need further help with MultiMC, Masady made a video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HzR9oRld08A

Option 2 - To install Rift 1.13.2 to the vanilla launcher:

  1. First download the Rift installer from here: https://www.jitpack.io/com/github/Chocohead/Rift/ jitpack-aeee80c1fb-1/Rift-jitpack-aeee80c1fb-1.jar
  2. Close the Minecraft launcher if you have it running
  3. Double click the Rift jar it to run it
  4. If it installed successfully, then open the equivalent of the file C:\Users\xxx\AppData\Roaming.minecraft\versions\1.13.2-rift-1.0.4-SNAPSHOT\1.13.2-rift-1.0.4-SNAPSHOT.json ( depending on your OS and user name etc.) in a text editor
  5. Inside the libraries array, on the com.github.Chocohead:Rift line, replace the SNAPSHOT string with aeee80c1fb-1
  6. Save the file
  7. Done.
  8. The game should now launch with Rift installed when you launch it using the 1.13.2-rift-1.0.4-SNAPSHOT profile in the vanilla launcher.
  9. Image of how the json file should look like after the edit:
