Patch notes:

  • Ported all general bugfixes from 1v1 Branch

FEATURES:
Doomsday timer has been added, the SAX will scale their damage based on how long the match has been going. They will hit max +400% damage once 2/3s of the timer has elapsed and will gain +800% damage and get player icons on their map when the timer hits 0.

The amount of metroids required to open Area 6 can now be changed, when all the required metroids are killed A6 will be opened and all pre-a6 metroids will be removed.

TWEAKS:
Bombs no longer cancel speedbooster.
Experimental damage multiplier has been removed.
Save cooldown added to non-experimental.
First Omega and First Alpha cutscenes removed in saxmode.
Both teams receive full map on game start.
Spidercloaking removes combat healthbars.
Frozen players take less damage from missiles.
Newgame+ has randomiser anti-softlock measures.
Mid combat saving removed.

Unofficial Multitroid v1.6.1 The Cutscene Removal patch

This patch removes a bunch of the annoying cutscenes in SAX mode and adds a couple of QoL features.
Cutscenes removed:
Item pickup cutscenes are fully gone (no weird music glitch either).
Can move during A1 Orb cutscenes.
First Zeta cutscene and First gamma cutscene removed.

QoL:
Radar is now coloured depending on the level.
Save Station Cooldown is now visible in the top left below the ping number.
Non-Experimental Wave Nerf is gone.

Non-windows Servers + Clients:
The Windows Server+Client and Android Client should work as intended.

This patch is mostly Quality of Life changes and bugfixes + minor balance changes for the fusions.

QoL:

  • All minimap related bugs fixed
  • Fusion count and metroid counters now show for both teams.
  • Healthbars now show up for teammates.
  • Spectators can now pause at any time.
  • Items will immediately be picked up regardless of whether a SAX is nearby.
  • Spectator Jail has been fixed.

Balance:

  • Fusions gain damage for every metroid killed pre-a6
  • Metroid icons that the SAX have scouted will turn red when killed by fusions.
  • Post-a6 damage for both teams reduced slightly.

Android, Linux, and Mac builds are temporarily unavailable while the Am2rporthelper gets fixed.

WHERE ARE MY MAP CHANGES!?!?!?!:
Calm down. They are not cancelled, it's just that the amount of QoL fixes became large enough to warrant a major update.

Next update was going to be 1.6 but turns out the last patch was a bit of a bust in terms of balance changes.
Changes from last patch:

  • SAX gets gravity as soon as fusions pick it up.
  • Ice combat being disabled is now tied exclusively to fusions picking up Varia.
  • SAX always has post-a6 damage, fusions only get post-a6 damage when they open a6.
  • Omega suit palettes can be modified. (Thanks to Jes Right)
  • Queen should no longer grant invincibility.

Mostly combat related changes/bugfixes
Changes from previous patch:

  • SAX Core-X now heals on pickup
  • Damage Scaling is no longer tied to items but instead increases when A6 is opened
  • Varia Suit now has "Superproof armor", this increases the i-frames of supers by 50%
  • Missile AoE is now the same as a normal hit
  • Players only show on minimap when in combat
  • Absorbing the core-x no longer has the chance to freeze you in place (I hope)
  • Spectators can pause when SAX is near

Changes from previous version:

  • Attempt to fix hitbox getting stuck in rooms
  • Made beam damage more consistent
  • Fixed hitbox issues with morph ball
  • Fixed radar randomly turning off
  • Made spidercloak not disable self radar
  • Fixed Super missiles not unfreezing opponents
    Temporarily removed Android builds due to being broken.
    Added Mac build.

This update changes SAX mode mostly in regards to hiding and hunting.
Changes from previous version:

  • Enemy players in close proximity will show up on the minimap unless they are spiderballed.
  • Spider Cloaking! Being in spiderball will disable your radar but will also make you much harder to track.
  • Early baby metroid no longer reveals enemy locations
  • Freeze time nerfed to 2 seconds (from 2.67 seconds)
  • Ice missiles don't unfreeze
  • SAX mode music can be changed

This version is NOT backwards compatible with vanilla multitroid, use the server below.
Linux and Android builds are untested and may not work correctly.
