Requesting IT Support

Our servers (kronos, vulcan, and andoria) are all located in the basement of the Killiam Library. We are primarily responsible for our own servers (configuration, software problems, etc. should all be handled by people in the lab). If we need assistance (or physical access) we can get support from people that work for ACEnet. These include opening of ports in the firewall, physical restarting of the machine, or hardware problems.

All support requests should be requested by Morgan (unless emergency).

We can email Scott and Karl directly if needed, but preference is to e-mail [email protected] and make sure the following is the first line of the e-mail (with the extra line after it).

This will create a ticket in the IT ticket system and assign it directly to Scott and Karl. This way even if both of them are not available someone will still see it and keep track of it.
