Description

The wg-outreach page desperately needs a refresh on its content so it actually reflects what the working group is doing.

Motivation and Context

  • Update work products
  • Add chair information
  • Add a picture of swag!

Checklist:

  • I have posted the link for the PR in the usrse slack (#website) to ask for reviewers
  • I have previewed changes locally
  • I have updated the README.md if necessary

Should the virtual workshop from 2021 be added to the conferences/workshops list?

I think "spearheading" is a word without a hyphen

For the funder's series, "A shoot-off of the" should be "A subgroup of the"

For supercomputing spotlights, "The SIAM Activity Group on Supercomputing (SIAG/SC) are" should be "The SIAM Activity Group on Supercomputing (SIAG/SC) is" (in US English...)

"on this which would suggest" should be "on this that will suggest"

"tumblers and backpacks, but all participants" should be "tumblers and backpacks, and all entrants"

Other than the above comments, this looks like a good set of changes

Horizontal lines look great. I found a couple more "the US-RSEs" and think there might be more. Otherwise this is fantastic!

@cosden - The URL failure is a website that's down. I assume it's temporary unless The Schloss Lab no longer exists.

I think the URL is failing because of a problem with the certificate, not that it's not unreachable. We could (a) wait and see if they fix it, (b) write to them to see if they know what's wrong, or (c) exclude the URL from the checker and ignore it forever.

I can't re-run jobs, but I'm pretty sure the site is back up. Can someone with the powers re-run the failed check?
