Look and Feel

A variety of themes are available which each require a restart of the program to apply. These affect the general outline of objects in the window, and menus, but do not affect things such as note text boxes or note text, which can be changed in the Fonts and Colours preferences options. These are the available themes:

Metal Metal theme picture Nimbus Nimbus theme picture CDE/Motif CDE/Motif theme picture GTK+ GTK+ theme picture Note that the appearance shown in the picture is not the only possible look available. This follows GTK theming of the host system. On linux, one may get GTK themes from collections such as Gnome-look, extract the directory to ~/.themes, and use a tool such as lxappearance to switch between available themes. An example of a working dark theme is Nordic.

Sea Glass

Currently Sea Glass is broken and will cause immediate crashing on launch. Follow Issue 292 for progress on this bug. If stuck with the crashing, cleaning out ~/.Zettelkasten can remove this preference along with all other preferences and reset it to the default theme.

Fonts and Colours

Fonts

A variety of customizations are available for the text used throughout the program. From the dropdown the current settings for each text type in terms of size and emphasis are shown. The user can select a text type to alter from the dropdown, and the color swatch directly to the right of the dropdown will change to show the current color for the selected font. To the right of the color swatch is a button which can be clicked to bring up a box for selecting a font, size, and emphasis to be used for the selected text along with a preview:
