  • Added Blindsense (rogue feat).
  • Added Ethereal Sight (monster feat), which allow vision into the ethereal plane.
  • Added Witch Sight (warlock invocation), which allows detection of shapechangers.
  • Removed the following senses from the config/HUD. It's no longer necessary to have them there, because the detection filter effect is always applied since the introduction of "important" detection modes.

  • Removed Echolocation. Now Blindsight behaves like Echoloction if the actor has the feat. It's no longer necessary to add an active effect to the actor to convert Blindsight to Echolocation.
  • If the actor has the Blind Senses feat (monster feat), Blindsight doesn't work while deafened.
  • It's no longer necessary to have an active effect named Devil's Sight for Devil's Sight. Now an actor automatically gains Devil's Sight if they have a feat named Invocation: Devil's Sight. An NPC actor gains Devil's Sight equal to their Darkvision range automatically if they have a feat named Devil's Sight.
  • Fixed Devil's Sight not being restricted by the Vision Angle.
  • Active effects named Sense Magic give Detect Magic equal to the range in its description now.
  • Tweaked the appearance of the Devil's Sight vision mode. Note that the new look is only applied the next time you switch to Devil's Sight.
    • Reduced the brightness from bright to half way between dim and bright to allow the player to distinguish between dim and bright light.
    • Removed the desaturation.
    • Increased the contrast, but not completely to 0. A slightly negative contrast effect helps, because it appears to increase brightness slightly and gives it a different look, which helps the player to distinguish between illuminated areas and darkness.

  • Added the Ethereal status effect.
    • Tokens in the ethereal plane can see other ethereal tokens. Tokens that are not in the ethereal plane need Truesight or See Invisibility to see ethereal tokens.
  • Detect Magic no longer detects common items as magical.
    • The reason for this change is that the rarity of a large number of mundane items in the SRD packs has been set to common mistakenly.
  • Detect Magic detects magical weapons as magical regardless of its rarity now.
  • Improved compatibility with DFreds Convenient Effects.
    • The status effects added by Vision 5e are now proper CE effects and are listed under Conditions.
  • Replaced the Hearing detection filter.
  • Replaced the Burrowing status effect icon.

  • Tremorsense and Hearing are no longer able to detect dead (defeated) tokens.
  • Tremorsense is no longer able to detect anything while flying.
  • Added the burrowing status effect.
    • Senses that are blocked by walls are unable to detect burrowing creatures.
    • Senses that are not blocked by walls like Tremorsense and Ghostly Gaze are able to detect burrowing creatures.
    • Hearing is able to detect burrowing creatures. If the creature is able to burrow silently, give it the inaudible status effect.
    • A burrowing creature is effectively blinded. Any light that the creature emits is suppressed.
  • Added the Default Hearing Range setting to configure the default range of hearing, which is 30 feet.
