Loading and Saving Pose Files
This page is being updated as the various posing features are further refined.
Posing has been the most widely used function in all iterations of Concept Matrix, so extra care has been taken to provide a simple yet effective experience.
Whilst Anamnesis uses an updated file type to better address new aspect of posing, it has backwards compatibility with pose files created using earlier versions of the tool. Poses made using Anamnesis use the .??? file format, while older poses use .cmp.
The Advanced Load feature from earlier versions of the tool has become the default method of loading pose files, regardless of which type they are.
Simply click the Open button in the bottom right of the tool in any of the pose windows (Pose GUI, Pose 3D, Posing Matrix) and you will be shown the Load Pose dialogue:
By default, all pose elements are selected, but can be checked on or off as needed.
Pose files saved in Anamnesis will use the .??? file format, which is not compatible with earlier versions of the tool, and cannot be saved as .cmp files.
To save a completed or partial pose, simply click the Save button in the bottom right of the tool in any of the pose windows (Pose GUI, Pose 3D, Posing Matrix) and you will be shown the Save Pose dialogue:
Much like with loading a pose file, you have the freedom to select which elements of your pose you would like to save. This allows for creating pose assets to be reused in multiple poses, such as hand poses, leg stances, etc. Again, by default, all pose elements are selected, but can be checked on or off as needed.
