UI Introduction

Ani edited this page Apr 25, 2022 · 16 revisions

This page will provide a brief guide on the layout for Anamnesis and an introduction to the various tabs. Each individual tab will have a more in-depth guide to its functions in their own individual pages.

Please note that the UI may change over time, as the project is still in beta. The developers will endeavour to keep this and other pages as up to date as possible should the layout of the tool change.

Table of Contents

The Home Tab

Here you'll find tools to manipulate the world (like the time of day and the weather) and camera, as well as the gallery (either a curated one that users can submit to or a local gallery users can pick locally from a folder on their computer), and tips to help you use the tool.

The Character Tab

This tab is for manipulating the various bits and bobs for your characters (otherwise known as 'actors'), including their appearance and equipment. You can save and load actor appearances, or load on an NPC or monster appearance, and tweak extra bits of your character you can't normally change in-game (otherwise known as extended appearance).

The Animation Tab

This tab is for applying animations to your actors, and tweaking the animations themselves from simply modifying the speed to blending two animations together.

The Pose Tab

This is where you get to manipulate your actors. You can choose from two fully-featured posing modes, GUI and Matrix, and get a feel for the upcoming Pose 3D feature, which is still in its infancy with plenty of features to come.

The Settings Tab

This tab contains the various tool settings you can tweak to your liking, from language to aesthetics. An explanation of the tool's settings is available if you'd like to read about the individual settings further, as there are many accessibility features that can be tweaked to your specific needs.

The About Flyout

A flyout that shows you information about the tool itself, such as the version number and various assets used in its creation, as well as social media and support links, and easy access to debugging information, which can be given to the developers to assist with bug reports.
