This page will present all possibilities on list building using this table. List building tools all reside on the bigger sidetray. You may either use the Squad Builder or Collection, both of which appear after pressing appropriate button. You can press the None button to reset it.

Squad Builder option

This is the reccomended way to build lists. After trying it few times, it should take under a minute to get your squads on. Lists can be imported from Geordanr builder (also known as Yet Another Squadron Builder), X-Wing co.uk builder (both while building and from saved squadrons page) and Fab's squadron generator/builder. No login required anywhere, but usually there's an option to do so and save lists permanently. Picture guide here, relevant pictures are also linked by each step.

  1. Press the Squad Builder button on the squad building tray (pic).
  2. Press the Initialize button under the bag that just appearead (pic).
  3. Switch to your browser and copy the list snippet:
  • Geordanr builder: Press "Print/View as text" button in the upper right corner, press "BBcode" button on the bottom of smaller window and then click "Copy" button or select all text and copy it (pic1, pic2).
  • X-Wing co.uk builder, build mode: Press "Forum or email" button, then either "Plain text" or "Plain text (brief)" and finally click the "Copy to clipboard" button or select all text and copy it (pic1, pic2).
  • X-Wing co.uk builder, browse mode: Select all the text from the first pilot to last item point cost and copy it (pic).
  • Fab's squadron generator/builder](http://x-wing.fabpsb.net): When viewing generated/build squad, click "Save" and then copy all the text from a box labelled "Tabletop Simulator" (pic1, pic2).
  1. Switch to Text Tool (T icon on the left bar), click the white text and paste (pic).
  2. Switch back to the Hand tool (hand icon on left bar), verify if white text now represents your list (pic).
  3. Click the 'Spawn it!' button if everything looks OK, else go back to step 4.
  4. [sometimes] If you have pilots that share name between ships in your list, they will appear as cards with "Choose" button under each. Click "Choose" under the ones you want until there's no more choices (pic).
  5. [sometimes] If your list contains an upgrade that shares name between different versions (Millenium Falcon titles, R2-D2 crew/mech etc), they are spawned as special multi-state cards. You have to right click it, select "Set State" and then select the version you want. You can then right click it and choose "Reset" to delete other states making current one permanent, like if it was a regular card.
  6. Building should be finished! White text on the right should say "Success" at the end, report it to us for fixing othewrwise (see Feedback).
  7. Grab your ships and cards from the inset part and dials and refcards from the left part. You're good to go (pic).
  8. [optional] Select all your game pieces, right click something and click Save Object if you want to reuse this list later. Details of what you can and can't use that functionality for can be found at Saving items page.

Item Browser option

This is the recommended option if you just want some game pieces (and you know which exactly, at least their names). It is possible to spawn whole lists using it, it's just usually online squad builders are much more convenient.

  1. Press the Item Browser button on the squad building tray.
  2. Press Initialize on the bag.
  3. Right click the notecard and type in search words separated by newlines.
  • Any ship/upgrade that include search word will be listed (even if search word is in the middle of its name)
  • If you want to search by acronyms, list all letters in uppercase (APT will find Advanced Proton Torpedoes etc).
  1. Click away, closing the right click menu.
  2. Ships/upgrades that contained search words in their names will appear on button list.
  3. Click on ships/upgrades to spawn them.
  4. You can take stuff away and use it at any point.

Collection option

Simply click the Collection button and browse for what you need. All items are sorted and named. Bags/decks will disappear when you click None or List Builder buttons, unless you either take them off the tray or copy-paste somewhere. Cards you draw from these decks and items you take from bags will not disappear at all.
