Create an account for another user as privileged user
There are two main ways in which to create an account for the SEAC Tool Shed web app: as any user through the public facing side/interface, and through the admin dashboard.
This tutorial will focus on how a privileged user can create an account for a new customer.
Note
You must be logged in as a Volunteer or higher privilege level to perform this function.
-
There are two ways to create an account. The first is by clicking the “Create User” button on the Dashboard page, or by navigating the menu on the left hand side of the screen Customers>Create New User.
-
After clicking either of the options you will be brought to the admin version of the signup page. Here you can enter all the necessary information to create a new user.
Note
It is important that when creating an account this way that you select the appropriate privilege level in addition to the membership level. The privilege level denotes what actions and pages that account can do on the web app. Check the User Level Breakdown for a full list of privileges per level.
- After the account is created successfully, the new user will be able to login.
