Hell Let Loose Server

This page contains information about the Hell Let Loose Server.

The server is most likely the same since Hell Let Loose is based on the Unreal 4 engine.

Server Binaries

The server binaries were never released to the community, and as such, you can only run a server by going to a Game Server Provider.

The server binaries released by Team17 are only for Windows; there are no Linux binaries. However, you can compile server binaries for Linux.

Game Server Owners Discord

There is a discord for Hell Let Loose game server owners.

Hell Let Loose Server Ports

The server ports can be random, there isn't a specific port set but rather a range.

Game Pass Players and Server Browser

Until version 15.2 of the HLL server, GamePass players weren't allowed to browse the full available servers list, only getting (random ?) 100 to choose from.

Before 15.2, the Team 17 declaration about that issue was:

You may have noticed that Game Pass PC is only showing 100 server results at a time. This is a rule that’s hardcoded into the Microsoft backend, so they don’t overload their own servers – by restricting results to 100 random servers. Not ideal for us, and something we hope to remedy ASAP. We are in contact with Microsoft to resolve this.

So, out of the +418 servers that STEAM users can see on the 'Join Server/Enlist' ingame screen, Game Pass users only see 100 random servers.

The server list is entirely random for Gamepass: it can vary for each Game Pass player and it may change depending on the moment they access the Join/Enlist screen.

According to the Team 17 announcement over 40 days ago: Not ideal for us We are in contact with Microsoft to resolve this
