Inserting Citations References may be inserted at the end of the paper. To insert the citation marker in the paper itself, put the DOI in square brackets after relevant punctuation, with each DOI in a separate bracket. e.g. -> Malaria is an important disease.[10.1021/xxx][10.1021/yyy]

Image File Types We must keep figure originals in the repository (e.g. Chemdraw files as .cdx). To insert images in the Google Doc, they may be converted to something convenient, e.g. .png.

Numbering structures To number compounds in the paper as it is being written, we will use their OSM numbers. These are contained in the Master Chemical List (http://tinyurl.com/OSM-Compounds). If a compound has no OSM number, it will need to be assigned one - flag this up with the Issue Tracker ("Issues" tab, above). We may, later, assign compound numbers sequentially in the final version of the paper, but this is not an absolute requirement (since it is advantageous for the numbering in the paper to match the numbering of these compounds on the internet).

Tables/Schemes/Figures As it stands the paper refers to every figure as "Figure X" and the associated graphic is then given a text description and it is not always clear which graphic refers to which figure. Perhaps we need to agree on a nomenclature? Perhaps authors initials followed by a number e.g. "FigureCJS102" in the document and the associated file called "FigureCJS102.cdx" and "FigureCJS102.png". Similarly with tables etc. This will enable us to refer to them in the document, but also track the author if need be.
