Writing the experimental

1. Check the google sheet for a compound which requires completing (person 1).

It'll be blank under the 'Author' heading. Write your name with a red background to indicate to others you are actively working on this file. [https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1OBN4VqZTetyRgSf5ND5IwqRe5gl-paioZ552VDe4PYw/edit#gid=0]

2. Write the experimental for this compound (person 1).

One person (ideally the person who made that compound) completes the standard experimental write-up. An example write-up and the template to use are in the repo. It's important to stick to this template to ensure homogeneity and easily allow changes to be made across all documents at the end if required. Consistency and accuracy of the characterisation data is also important...eg. image structure should use Wiley settings, characterisation data written correctly.

3. Check the Master Chemical List

Ensure that the SMILES, InChI, and InChI Key are correct.

4. Create the NMR spectra files (person 1)

We also need the processed NMR spectra, so create a pdf for each using the same file name with the nucleus at the end. eg "OSM-S-217 1H".

5. Create a pull request (person 1)

As detailed in the TechOps repository, create a pull request for these documents. This enables the crucial and final check by another person. Change the google doc under the 'Author' heading to green to show that this compound has been written up with all data.

6. Approve pull request (person 2).

Another person checks the document and approves it. This compound is now complete. Mark the google sheet under 'checked' to indicate this.
