Vidal Meeting Notes

- any code
- how to generate the stitched image
- the video demonstration
Demoed google earth page which shows track of the locations of the driftnode. It is an HTML page which uses someone elses' javascript library for reading bags from a ROS process running on the same machine (at localhost:9090).

Good progress.
Over break team got together a prototype in a PVC pipe.
Yoannis did some tests on it in Barbados.
Team will write a wiki page with all the proposed features they will work on this semester.

Will go to the lake tomorrow to make a video. Presentation includes description of tech and video.
For next semester, we will need to talk to client to determine what needs to be done.
Team has a box with the components all setup in there.
Communications have not been implemented.
Demo plan is to have the video. But, it would be nice if it could be demonstrated live by having a couple of people moving around outside, in the atrium, while we see their positions change inside.
Team did presentation for Manton.
Have rPIs collecting data. Working on getting the network working. Working on the packaging.
Look into QEMU to run a rPI in a virtual machine.
December demo: 3 rPI nodes with GPS, and talking to each other. Gather positional data. Movie.
Added presentation, and budget.
Have rasPi, added rOS. Not working yet. Adding GPS libraries.
raspPi, GPS, IMU (Inertial Measurement Unit), Wifi, powerbrick, SD card.
non-wifi communication and other sensors (camera, salination) will be added in 492.
Bought parts using load from Ioannis.
