See Shared Resources

Hello Beta Testers! We could use some testing on the two following features: Shared Resources and the Holdings Tab. Use the question-mark button on the bottom right to leave feedback, or head to our slack channel. You can share what you liked, what was confusing, or changes you'd like to see, as well as any bugs you run across.

Shared Resources

On each row of the Relationships table there is a "See how" link.

This link opens a window and shows how two constellations are related by displaying all resources shared in common between them.

For example, here we see the resources shared between Martha Washington and George Washington.

We can see from this that Martha is closely connected to George, and that 80 of her resources are directly related to George as well. We can search for keywords, filter and sort the table to explore their relationship. For example, if I wanted to find letters between the two of them, I could enter "Letter" in the search bar to immediately filter.

This tells us that in SNAC there are 9 finding aids with "Letter" in the title that are connected to both Martha and George, five of which list them as the authors, and four of which reference them.

Holdings Tab

This tab will only appear if the constellation is a Holding Repository, and will show all the resources we know of that are physically or digitally held by that repository.

Here we have the American Jewish Historical Society Archives. The table displays the Resource's title, href, and a count of how many Constellations are connected to that resource.

This tab will currently try to load all held resources, so may stall out for larger holding repositories. In the near future we will put a cap on how many will try to load at once.

Here is a list of a few Holding Repositories you might test.
