- Enhanced API on api.opentrack.run
- Documentation and examples to inform how to add/edit new competitions. Friendly examples.
- Ben has been working on the API
- Adding /json the URL path of any competition gets the JSON in raw.
- More examples with the structure of competitions.
- OpenTrack scripts on GitHub with the real examples.
- Open to 3rd-party event organizers in the future.
- Some metadata to identify the organizer and origin.
- For meeting organizers, for World Athletics Silver and Bronze meetings, their results should be homogeneous. We are motivating them to publish their data on opentrack.
- High level summary that could be interesting for general audience (start list, results, top competitors, etc.)
- Most exciting results on the competition;
- This could be done using age grades, and results for kids and adults. This gives us an objective measure of the most exciting results.
- Using IAAF scoring tables (Hungarian Scores) we can have coefficients to compare scores, so we can have objective top performances.
- Start list. How to get an objective measurement of the top competitors of the meeting. All-time top ten performances of the country could be a reference of the current athletes.
- Objective: sharing the data before the competition.
- For instance, I want to know if there are triple jump competitions in the event program.
- TrackMeeting's Proposal: {"age": "abs", "sex": "m", "note": null, "prop": null, "entry": null, "start": "2021-01-31T11:00:00", "setting": "i", "category": "-", "discipline": "pv"} -> statistics, age, category (World Athletics),
- OpenTrack's Proposal: There are tables with event code (discipline), age groups, gender, category (as unitary physical events).
- ACTION: Martin to create an (editable) page with common discipline codes . May we open a dedicated page with the list of identifiers. https://docs.opentrack.run/cms/events/. > Action done with proposal of taxonomy: https://github.com/espinr/opentrack-cg/tree/master/spec/disciplines
- Duplicates of athletes when entered information for first time.
- We should offer ways to detect exact duplicates and near duplicates.
- Some techniques: Reversing dates, etc.
- Martin to open an issue to track ideas and continue the discussion with external parties.
- The event will be streamed online.
- Trade fair + competition spaces for exhibitors to present their technologies
- In the program: Apart from Track and Field competitions, Ice hockey in Zadar! Free climbing, drone racing
- Multimedia companies, with production of the events.
- After Torun Champs., we will be able to know the level of commitment of federations in the AthTech event.
- European Master Athletics will organize the outdoor Champs in Montegordo in Sep. Oct, 2021. We hope there is no overlap.
- Next meeting: 15th March (one hour behind) 13:00 UTC/14:00 CET
