Presentation of the example of complete representation of disciplines: https://espinr.github.io/opentrack-cg/spec/disciplines/ and discussion if we need a way to identify all the types of events univocally.
-
Event code by OpenTrack, practical purposes are okay but not solve the universal interoperability problem.
-
Andy showed a proposal to extend the codes that covers the same type of challenges: audience and type of surface.
-
We should start by agreeing a high level taxonomy after we can continue with the concrete types of events.
-
[Recommendations related to Trackmeetings.info] IT,AU, SB, HU, scrapping calendars. Some competitions for younger age groups are included also.
-
Also Hurdles details are only described with a text field.
-
Regarding modeling events, all the information should be included at the lowest level as possible. On top of that, you can create aggregates.
- New idea proposed by Andy, including general audience for the whole event.
- To indicate the kind of competitors that could be found (e.g., serious athletes, women friendly event, etc.)
- Interesting for fun runs
- Martin to open issue on target audiences to keep the conversation going.
-
Duje's update about AthTech and the Athletics Festival:
- Sponsors are growing: Ministry of Tourism and City of Zadar wants to collaborate.
- Everything continues on track for the event to be held on the end September.
-
