Collection

Manage your collection. Collections are a bunch of files that contains data about something (e.g. a Starship). As you can only have a limited number of those things, the collection features allows you to back them or download something you like and restore them anytime by selecting them from the shown list.

This does not really extend the number you can have in-game but gives you the possibility to keep things you like and get them back with a single click.

Open

To open the collection window click on the button with the arrow to the top right. The other buttons let you choose a preview image, open JSON Editor at the location the things is stored, and open the respective channel in Hub on Discord.

In the textbox below the images you can enter a name or description (depending on the collection type). Marking something starred is making it a favorite.

There are up to three formats supported. Kaii is the format used in NMSC by Dr. Kaii and available for almost everything. Goatfungs is the format used by the save editor by goatfunugs and only available for a few things and does not support all features like favorites and images. Standard is a new iteration of the NMSC format and unifying/standardizing the file content as well as officially adding missing information such as customization.

All formats are automatically detected while reading/loading them. To add something to the collection add an image and name if you like, select a format and click on the backup button.

Apply

You can add and remove files to the collection here as well as reloading the whole list in case you added files manually to the folder. Adding copies to file to the collection folder abd removing delete it but the entry still stays until restart.

The lists are already prefilled with starters (things you get when you start a new game), pre-orders and early-adopters bonuses, and Expedition and Twitch rewards. These are not only current starters but also those from old versions of the game, brought to the lastest one where the includes backup was created with.

The apply something to the current slot, select the item in the list and click on OK.
