Syncronize Marketing Lists

Spotler has the List module. Here you can find Dynamic lists, Static lists and Contacts.

With SpotlerAutomate you can syncronize Marketing Lists from Dynamics 365 to Dynamic lists in Spotler.

The members on a Marketing List will become Contacts in Spotler.

⚠️ Warning! Marketing Lists are only avaiable when you have a Dynamics 365 Sales license (Premium, Enterprise or Professional).

Dynamics vs Static lists in Dynamics 365 and Spotler

One thing to keep in mind when syncing list is that both Dynamics 365 and Spotler have a concept of dynamic and static lists, which are different from each other!

Marketing List In Dynamics 365:

• Dynamic list in Dynamics 365 is a list that is automatically updated based on a set of criteria. For example, a dynamic list can be created to include all contacts that have a certain job title. This list will automatically update when a contact is added or removed from the system. The benefit of a dynamic list in Dynamics 365 is that you can base your criteria on all the data in Dynamics 365 without the need to sync that data to Spotler.

• Static list in Dynamics 365 is a list that is manually updated. For example, a static list can be created to include all contacts that attended a certain event. This list will not automatically update when a contact is added or removed from the system. You need to manually add or remove contacts from the list.

List In Spotler:

• Dynamic list in Spotler is also a list that is automatically updated based on a set of criteria on a contact in Spotler. For example, a dynamic list can be created to include all contacts that have a certain job title. This list will automatically update when a contact is added or changed in Spotler. Keep in mind that these criteria can only be based on contact data that is in Spotler.

When you syncronize a Marketing List from Dynamics 365 to Spotler, it will appear as a Dynamic list in Spotler. It has the :database: icon behind it's name and can't be edit.

• Static list in Spotler is a list that is being created when importing contacts manually in Spotler. For more info see manual importing contacts, outside of SpotlerAutomate.
