postCluster_()

Identify potential cluster peaks by searching for outliers in the rho vs. delta plot determined by DPCLUS operation. The outliers are found by searching for points that exceed P.rho_cut and P.delta1_cut thresholds. The plot above shows rho vs. delta plots before (top) and after (bottom) detrending. The detrending operation is performed by applying a quadratic fitting to log rho vs. delta plot, and delta values (y-axis) are normalized by z-transformation.

Syntax

• S_clu = postCluster_(S_clu, P)

Operation

• detrend_local_(): Identify density peak points S_clu.icl (potential cluster centers).
  • If P.vcDetrend_postclu = 'local', detrend Rho-Delta plot for each site separately
  • If P.vcDetrend_postclu = 'global', detrend Rho-Delta plot for all sites together
• assign_clu_count_(): Assign cluster membership (S_clu.viClu) for a list of cluster centers (S_clu.icl)
