Atari ST is the peer of the earlier Commodore Amiga and the Apple II GS.

Like the Amiga, it generally has a lot of ports from Atari 800 / Apple II / Commodore 64 / DOS CGA games but are better graphically. So they are a source of playing better versions of classic games.

The downside is that Atari ST emulation is only "pretty good". Retroarch's Hatari emulates the mouse with the joypad. Even if the AtariST OS starts up, figuring out the icon to click can be slightly annoying, AtariST games don't self-boot or self-startup generally.

Hatari maps the mouse in the AtariST operating system TO THE GAMEPAD, not the host mouse,at least if you are using the retroarch core. So use that to move the mouse cursor and one of the fire buttons to click/doubleclick the mouse. It can be frustrating doing this, so AtariST ports of games are generally a "last resort" for me.
