- Starting to look at 2022 schedule, plan to discuss at Q3-2021 meeting to vote on and finalize in the Q4-2021 meeting. Please send any known bad periods in 2022.

- Starting to look at next-gen tools and make sure APIs are sufficient
- Anticipate a few possible needs, e.g., malleability. IO redirection can also be tricky. Tools need to map to new allocations, etc.
- Looking at different programming models and composability of different programming models
- DEEP-SEA project in Europe
- Planning to use PMIx / OpenPMIx and see what (if any) extensions are needed
- Plan to follow-up with few people for attendance at Tools WG
- Anticipate may start with smaller group and then grow
- Getting familiar with the standard and openpmix build/software setup
- Will create repo for “single objective tools”, many tools well supported with tools for just MPI or other programming models, and can use those established tools as a start
- Plan to have initial meeting in coming week and from there decide on exact date/cadence for Tools WG meeting time
