Astral Diamond is the Tier 5 material. To create an Astral Diamond, you must either smelt down an Astral Dragon Egg or craft it using a full durability, unmodified gold essence item and some regular diamonds. Only a blast furnace will allow you to heat this gem hot enough to cut it. The method and crafting recipe for doing this can be seen below;
It can also be crafted by smelting an Astral Dragon Egg in a blast furnace, producing 1 Uncut Astral Diamond.
Astral Diamond can also be obtained in their processed state in the Diamond Layer of the Crystal Caverns. The chance of getting an Astral Diamond from a cavernous Deepslate Diamond Ore is 0.5%/ore.
Uncut Astral Diamond can be crafted using any of the following items below as the center ingredient, so long as it fits the requirements of being full durability and remains exactly as it was dropped;
