Earthen Emerald is the Tier 3 material. To create a Earthen Emerald, you must either smelt down an Earthen Dragon Egg or craft it using a full durability, unmodified red essence item and some regular emeralds. Only a blast furnace will allow you to heat this gem hot enough to cut it. The method and crafting recipe for doing this can be seen below;
It can also be crafted by smelting an Earthen Dragon Egg in a blast furnace, producing 1 Uncut Earthen Emerald.
Earthen Emeralds can also be obtained in their processed state in the Emerald Layer of the Crystal Caverns. The chance of getting an Earthen Emerald from a cavernous Emerald Ore is 0.5%/ore.
Uncut Earthen Emerald can be crafted using any of the following items below as the center ingredient, so long as it fits the requirements of being full durability and remains exactly as it was dropped;
