IATI Registry Information
When you enter data on your organisations activities in AidStream, AidStream can automatically add your files to the IATI Registry. To enable this to happen you need to firstly register as a user with the IATI Registry and then enter your IATI Registry details into AidStream’s IATI Registry Information setting page.
1. Registering as a user with the IATI Registry
You will need to set up a user account and create a publisher account on IATI Publisher Registry before you can configure your organisation's settings. Instructions on how to do this are on the Registry website.
**Publisher ID **
When creating an account on the IATI Registry, you will be asked to choose a Publishing ID. We recommend that you use the same identifier as you have specified on your AidStream account, as explained on the Registering an organization userguide page here.
Once you have created an account in the IATI Registry you will need to enter your Publisher ID and API Key into the AidStream setting page (see below).
API Key
You can find your API Key by logging onto the IATI Registry, clicking the 'My account' tab from the user account dashboard, and scrolling down. The API key is clearly marked and looks like a series of numbers and letters, coloured red (see below).
You will need to copy your API Key and paste it into the correct field in AidStream’s IATI Registry Information setting page below:
Automatically update the IATI Registry
You will be asked if you want AidStream to automatically update the IATI Registry with changes to your organisation’s activities that you enter into AidStream. To do this, select the ‘Yes’ option in the AidStream settings page (see above). If you choose to leave this option as ‘No’, when you publish files in AidStream, IATI XML files will be created but you will have to click Register with IATI Registry under List Published Files to register your XML files with IATI Registry. This option helps to create publish XML files without having to create account in IATI Registry.
