AidStream can directly to publish your files to the IATI Registry. For this, it requires two pieces of information - which are available from the iatiregistry.org after you are registered there.

  • Published ID
  • API Key

Registering in IATI Registry

You will need to set up a user account and create a publisher account on IATI Publisher Registry before you can configure your organisation's settings. Instructions on how to do this are on the Registry website.

  • You will be assigned an API key after you have created an account in the IATI Registry.
    • Login to the IATI Registry, where you will find the API key by clicking on the 'My account' tab from the user account dashboard, and scrolling down underneath the patterned square.
    • The API key is clearly marked and looks like a series of numbers and letters, coloured red.

Copy and paste it into the correct field in the Settings in AidStream.

By default, Automatically update the IATI Registry when publishing files is set to No. It means that when you publish files in AidStream, IATI XML files will be created but you will have to click Register with IATI Registry under List Published Files to register your XML files with IATI Registry. This option helps to create publish XML files without having to create account in IATI Registry.
