Workstation VM naming discussion
Background:
- Even in a "launch via desktop icon" happy path, users will see names like
sd-svs
in window titles (!), launch/shutdown notifications, device menu, Qubes updater GUI (if we use it), ...; - Less happy paths and error messages are likely to arise during beta;
- Some users are likely to explore the system on their own,;
- Post-beta, we may want users to interact with Qubes beyond an icon launch path.
Naming spreadsheet: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1G1aE6lJD0D6ksIqJuP-8e3iw_1VEzRiUX_zIj41yA8c/edit#gid=0 Issue: https://github.com/freedomofpress/securedrop-workstation/issues/285
