SecureDrop 1.2.1 check-in
- QA today: NUC7 (John), Minis (Kev), VMs (Kushal)
-
Pilot org internet access concern - see Wire (can be a support topic)
-
Updater logic runtime
- Kev reports 26 minute completion time for fedora updates, total run >1 hour
- Kushal: could be picking a bad mirror
- Conor: Sometimes a VM, while being upgraded via Qubes GUI updater, gets assigned very small amount of RAM. Update can get done but it will take forever. When I observe this, check if slow VM has low RAM, if it does, run
qubes-qmemman
command in dom0

- Continued to make good progress on functional tests (PR #788 WiP). Encountering, fixing and / or working around various twisty passages full of bugs/misconfigurations. For example, I'm currently trying to work out why QMenu interactions (needed for logout) don't respond to qtbot instructions created in the test. I can observe the events coming in, but the QMenu's action doesn't trigger (EDIT: I just figured it out). I'll continue with this work tomorrow.
- This whole functional test story feels like a good candidate for a show and tell sometime, once I've ironed everything out and documented it for folks.
